WELCOME TO  Zumba Motueka

Hi, my name is Ngaire.  
Dance in any way, shape or form has always made me happy!  I am so excited to share my passion with you, as a Zumba® Fitness Instructor.  My goal is to help you get fit, have fun and as a bonus lose weight!  

As a busy mum of four, I KNOW Zumba®  Fitness really works!!  It is the only exercise I know that is so effective, easy to stick to and so much fun!

My Zumba® Classes

Mixed with awesome music, plenty of energy and loads of FUN.  Its an intensive workout(intensity is up to you), with plenty of chance to shine(sweat)...Easy to follow choreography to a cool range of different rhythms. eg Salsa, Bellydance, Hip Hop, Swing.  Once you learn the basic Zumba® moves you'll be burning up the dance floor...it really is that easy. Give it a few goes before you decide if it's for you.  Suitable for everyone-men & women.  Check out my video of us all dancing in our local Xmas Parade.  It just shows, ANYONE can Zumba!

Zumba® Gold
Enjoy fun easy choreography using the same Zumba® formula but with less moves and more repetition.  This enables you to feel successful and have a blast to a variety of awesome dance tunes & rhythms. eg: Swing, Rock'n'Roll, Merengue, Salsa, Tango

Zumba® Gold is perfect for those new to exercising, postnatal mums, the active older adult or someone recovering from injury.  More of an introductory to Zumba®.   Zumba® Gold is suitable for everyone, the ease of the choreography enables the participant to put more intensity into the routines.  The great thing about Zumba® Gold is it's LOW IMPACT!  No jumping...unless of course you wish to.


Typical Zumba® Questions

What should I wear?   Wear what-ever YOU are comfortable in.  A good pair of supportive sneakers are advisable though.  You’ll need a towel to mop up the sweat and a drink to keep hydrated.

Are the steps/moves tricky?   Although it may look tricky, Zumba® is a lot easier than you think.  Each different rhythm (reggaeton,salsa,meringue etc) has around 4 basic steps and once you learn the basics you will be surprised at how quickly you pick up the choreography.  I recommend giving Zumba® at least 3 goes.  Some dances can be challenging, but when you nail the routine it’s a real sense of achievement.

I’m worried I’ll make a fool of myself!  
It’s true!  Everyone is worried about making a fool of themselves. Even me!  Sometimes I muck up too:)  But really, you don’t need to worry,it's all good. We are all there to have fun, exercise and make friends.  No-one is there to judge you, and to be truthful, I love how supportive everyone is of each other, we have so much fun and plenty of laughs.   If your feeling unhappy with yourself because of weight or fitness issues, please come along and give it a go.  I would love to help and encourage you to lead a healthier and happier life.  You deserve it!  We all do!  So come along to a class and give it a go.  It's not as scary as you think.
